Conference Schedule

Registration will start on Sunday July 19th in the afternoon.

The opening session is scheduled to take place on Monday July 20th at 8:30;

the conference will end on Saturday July 25 at 11h.

Session hours are 8:30 – 12:30 and 14:00 – 17:30

Sessions of the conference will be held in the new ICISE conference Center.


Conference Facilities

The following equipment will be available:

  • video projector for computer presentations
  • overhead projector
  • internet access will be available at the conference site with a wireless hub.

Accommodation will be in the four star Seagull Hotel in Quy Nhon: it is guaranteed if your registration is made before June 1st, 2015. After this date, if the Seagull hotel is full, you will be accommodated in a neighbouring hotel.

All sessions will be held in the new ICISE conference center, 10 minutes taxi (or one hour walk) away from the hotel. Daily bus transfer (morning and end afternoon) will be provided by the conference organization.

Participants will be expected to arrive on Sunday July 19th, and will leave on Saturday July 25 in the afternoon.

Lunch will be provided at ICISE center, breakfast and dinner will be served in the Seagull Hotel for all participants. The cost per person (full board for 6 days) will amount to $285 US for a double room and $410 US for a single room.

Meals will include mineral water, coffee and tea but other beverages such as alcohol, soft drinks will be available upon request for an extra fee added to your hotel account.

Payment for lodging and meals should be done upon arrival either by cash in US dollars or  your credit card (the latter will incur a small supplement). Advance payment can only be made by bank transfer. Details are as follows :

The transfer should indicate clearly your name to identify the payee. Please inform the conference secretariat by fax or email that the transfer has been done. You should obtain proof of payment and hand it to the conference secretariat at the conference site.

Important Note:
Please note that the total cost for lodging and meals is fixed for the whole duration of the meeting, i.e. from Sunday noon, July 19th to Saturday, morning July 25th and cannot be reduced for partial attendance, late arrival or early departure. However, if you intend to arrive before Sunday, July 19th and leave after Saturday, July 25th, please let us know in advance so that we can make the appropriate hotel reservation for you and the extra charges will apply: contact

Please also note that the check-in time is at noon. If you arrive early in the morning, it is possible to ask your room available immediately with an extra fee. In this case, please send us the request so that the hotel can prepare your room in advance. 



There are two main international airports in Vietnam : Hanoi (Noi Bai airport : HAN) and Ho Chi Minh (Tan Son Nhut airport : SGN).
As there are more flights from Ho Chi Minh to Quy Nhon, it is more convenient to fly from foreign countries to Ho Chi Minh than to Hanoi.

For those arriving via Hanoi, since the only daily flight to Quy Nhon is scheduled very early in the morning, it may be wise to take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City and catch up there the afternoon flight to Quy Nhon.

In order to welcome you and organise your transfer from Quy Nhon airport to the conference hotel, please inform the conference secretariat about your flight number as well as the arrival date and time in Quy Nhon.
Conference buses will be available at Quy Nhon airport on Sunday July 19th (morning and afternoon flights) and Monday July 20th (morning flights).

All participants do require a visa to visit Vietnam, except for few exemptions listed below.

Vietnam Visa exemption is granted to:

  • Citizens of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos for visits of 30 days at the maximum.

  • Citizens of Philippines for visits of 21 days at the maximum.

  • Citizens of Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia and Finland for visits of 15 days at the maximum.

  • NEW (21 June 2015) : a visa is no longer required for people with nationalities of the following countries : France, Italy, Spain and UK for visits of 15 days at the maximum.

To obtain a visa

Please inform the conference secretariat about your internet visa number and your arrival date and time at the entrance airport.

This internet visa procedure is cheaper but it does take some time (~ 60 min) at the airport immigration office, depending on the queue. Do not forget to have with you 2 passport photos and USD in cash as required by the internet visa service.

Some activities are proposed for accompanying persons.  Details are on this page. Fees of these activities are based  on the numbers of people, however if there are less than 5 people, the activity will be cancelled.  Interested parties may contact Kathy May ( for registration.

Conference dinner on Thursday July 23rd.

It will also be possible to have a short (1-2 days) tour either before or after the conference. However, this will have to be arranged directly by the participant through a local travel agency. We will provide the link for a local travel agent in the near future.
